This is a power-up I have made for this game as I felt that it was fairly necessary and I think that it adds a nice effect to my game. It goes very well with the sound in my opinion.
First I have right clicked and chose to insert a new object. I chose audio which is located in the media tab in order to import all of my sounds.
I selected all of the sounds I have created and I imported them into the game so I could decide which sounds would fit best with the game.
I simply selected all of my audio and clicked "import" and then all of my sounds were imported into this game so I could change through the different sounds and edit them to my liking.
As you can see, my sounds have successfully been installed.
To add my sounds into the game, I have selected the event sheet and I have clicked on the specific thing I wanted to add my sound into. In this case, it was on both tank1turret and enemy1turret as they were sounds made when they shot ammunition at the other tanks therefore I have chose to use the same sounds.
In order to do this, I have chose to "add action" which so I can choose the sound.
Then I will make it so I can command the game to play a sound when the turrets shoot.
I then choose my sound that I want to add into the game and I also chose the volume level and if I want the sound to loop over or not.
I did the same process on the impact of the bullets which was a similar sound but slightly different as this sound had more of a rumble and echo sound that sounds very effective in my opinion.
I have used the "Death" sound I have created to indicate the player once a friendly tank has fallen which is fairly effective as it allows the player to be more strategic and it also gives the player a better advantage so more things can be monitored at the same time.
This is the settings I have used for the theme music that is continuously played throughout gameplay. I have made it so it automatically loops so the theme will carry on playing.
This is how I have personally added in a simple power-up I have added into the game with my power-up sound that I think fits perfectly well with it.
